Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legal agreement between you and Sondre (“Sondre”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the operator of the website at getsondre.com and the related application (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Sondre is an AI-powered personal assistant and life coach. Depending on your plan, it can help you set goals and habits, generate check-ins and briefings, and — where you choose to connect them — work with your email, calendar and other third-party accounts. Sondre uses artificial intelligence, including large language models provided by third parties, to generate responses, summaries and suggestions.

Sondre is a productivity and self-improvement tool, not a professional. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, tax or other professional advice, and its output should not be relied upon as such. Always use your own judgement and consult a qualified professional for important decisions. If you are in crisis or may be a danger to yourself or others, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.
• You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly at support@getsondre.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One person or entity per account, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

3. Subscriptions, billing & payments

Sondre offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (currently Pro and Premium), billed monthly or annually as shown at checkout. Paid features are described on our pricing page.

Our payments and subscriptions are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), which acts as the merchant of record and authorized reseller of the Service. When you buy a subscription, your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms and privacy policy, and Paddle—not Sondre—handles your payment details, invoicing and applicable sales tax/VAT.

• Auto-renewal. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account or via the billing/receipt link provided by Paddle. Your paid features remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for; we do not provide prorated refunds for the unused part of a period except as described in our Refund Policy or where required by law.
• Price changes. We may change prices or plan features. Changes to recurring prices will not take effect until your next renewal, and we will give you reasonable notice.
• Taxes. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.

4. Third-party integrations

Sondre can connect to third-party services you authorize — for example email and calendar (via Nylas), Google sign-in, and social accounts such as Instagram. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We only access the data you grant permission for, use it to provide the features you requested, and you can disconnect an integration at any time from your settings. Where Google user data is involved, our use complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, deceptive or abusive purpose;
• Attempt to access other users’ data, or probe, scan or breach security or authentication measures;
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or build a competing product from the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
• Upload malware, or interfere with or place an unreasonable load on the Service or its infrastructure;
• Use the Service to generate content that infringes others’ rights, harasses, or violates any third party’s terms (including those of connected accounts);
• Misuse AI features to produce illegal content or to make automated decisions that require human oversight.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Your content & AI output

You retain ownership of the content and data you provide to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you — for example, to store it, generate responses, and deliver the features you use. Subject to applicable law and any third-party rights, output that Sondre generates for you is yours to use. Because AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected, you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on or acting upon it.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by Sondre or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or reliable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sondre and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sondre and its operator from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive. You can export or delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United Arab Emirates for any dispute not subject to mandatory local consumer-protection law in your place of residence.
